What Is Found And Freed

Found and Freed is a Christian organization that is committed to raising public awareness of the issue of human trafficking and its many forms in communities around the world.

"I had no idea that women were being trafficked for sex through businesses right by our neighborhood. Once I became aware of that, I could not un-see the issue."

Born in Houston, TX, the organization arose out of a spiritual calling to the issue.  Though we had become quite comfortable in our life, after years of struggling to get to this point, we began to feel God calling us to another purpose.  It was gentle at first, but became more and more acute.  We didn't know what the purpose was at first, but we were being guided to prepare and listen.  Then God began revealing bits and pieces of our mission to us.  Then it hit us like a ton of bricks and there was no going back.

I don't remember if we saw it in a Facebook feed, or on a news site, but we saw an article talking about the surge of prostitution and human trafficking during the Superbowl.  The next one was just around the corner, in Houston.  We started searching for more information.  Then we started noticing all of the prostitution busts all around our area.  I had no idea that women were being trafficked for sex through businesses right by our own neighborhood.  Once I became aware of that, I could not un-see the issue.  My wife, Bambi, found a group in Houston called Elijah Rising that was doing something about it and offering a training collaboration with Kansas based Exodus Cry.  She signed up for the pre-Superbowl training/intervention and there we learned about the dark side of our city.  Further research has shown us that this issue is pandemic and affects those of all ethnicities and socioeconomic status.  The Lord continued to prod us along, and we started looking for ways in which we could potentially make the most impact in this area.

While members of Found and Freed directly work with human trafficking victims through other groups, the main objective of our organization is to fight this evil through awareness, education, promotion and support of those in the trenches, and lobbying efforts to governmental agencies.  Together we can and will end the scourge of human trafficking!!
